Enraptivating

So I was at a luncheon yesterday; part of it was a showcase of fashions created by one of the family and consumer science students. In describing her collection, she wanted to say something about it being enrapturing and captivating but she got a bit tongue-twisted and ended up saying it was ‘enraptivating‘. My new word of the week. The luncheon was enraptivating. 🙂

    Hello Gypsygirl,

Just want to say I’m really enjoying listening to Pride and Prejudice. I listen to audio books on my MP3 player when I’m in bed as I have a husband who snores…. When I can’t sleep because of the noise audio books helps me keep my sanity !!!!

I like your knitting too. Glad to see there’s not just me who loves to knit.

  2. Thanks, Karen, for the audiobooks you’ve read for Librivox! I’ve listened to Secret Garden, Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea this far and really enjoyed them. You have such a beautiful and clear voice.

And as it so happens, I’m a knitter, too, and always knit while listening to audiobooks :). So thanks for helping me along in that hobby, as well! 😀

I have just started listening to your reading of The Scarlet Pimpernel and I am loving it! I listen to a lot of Librivox recordings during my 2 hour a day commute, and many times I’ve had to just give up shortly after starting because the reader was lousy. I am completely enchanted by your reading and just wanted to let you know and to thank you for making my commute a lot brighter!
