Rainbow Valley by Lucy Maud Montgomery

My latest LibriVox recording is out!

Rainbow Valley is the sixth book in the Anne of Green Gables series. In this book, the narrative switches from Anne to her children and their friends the Merediths.

This is my last Anne book to record for LibriVox, since the remaining Anne books are, unfortunately, still in copyright in the US.

  1. I am so thrilled to see this! I wasn’t super thrilled with the official version. When do the copyrights on tye final two expire, do you know? A couple more decades? Seems like it might be in the 30s or so…?

  2. Thank you! I’m so excited to listen to your version of Rainbow Valley. I have no doubt that it will be beautiful and absolutely perfect like all of your other readings. You really do have an incredible talent.

  3. No time soon, that’s for sure. I haven’t looked at it in a while, and don’t remember exact dates. And of course, there’s always the chance that the laws will be changed again, and the dates will get pushed back even further. 🙁

  4. I was so excited tonight when I saw that you had read another Lucy maud Montgomery book. I love listening to books you have narrated. Thank you so much for your work on Librivox. Oh, and we come from the same city.

  5. Probably not the right place for this, but anyway: I really enjoyed your solo P&P. Have you thought about solo versions of Wuthering Heights and maybe Middlemarch. I, and no doubt the legion of your followers, won’t get to them any other way.
    Cheers

  6. I truly enjoyed your reading of Rainbow Valley! As I do all of your readings! You have such a talent to bring characters to life! Susan Baker is one of the most endearing and truly comedic (without realizing it) characters in all of literature. I was really happy to revisit Susan and all the rest in this volume. Your Rilla of Ingleside reading is my all-time favorite, I laugh and cry every single time (many, many times) I have listened to it! Thank you for your art! You have given me countless hours of entertainment!
